Juan Carlos Moya studied piano at the Music Conservatory of Málaga, Spain, and music education at the University of Málaga. Juan Carlos was an autodidact in learning how to play many other instruments (e.g. guitar, bass guitar, drums, sax). Also, thanks to scholarships granted by the University of Málaga, he has been investigating the human mind and artificial intelligence devices in relation to music creation, to the point of being the chosen one to teach how to compose to the IAMUS - the only computer in the world that composes music with no human intervention. Lately, his autodidact focus has been mainly addressed to music production.
Juan Carlos has also played on stage with many artists and bands on a national level: Jarrillo Lata, 2000 Locos, Icarus Crash, Angel Capel… He is the front man of the bands Habitacion 103, Entreterrestres, and Sur Le Jazz.
When it comes to the movie industry, "2x2" represents the third job for Juan Carlos, involving himself in both the writing of original score and in sound design.
